Matsumoto Castle Matsumoto Castle is a recognized place of historical interest. Before being called by its current name it was known as Fukashi Castle. Locals also know it as Crow Castle. The castle is one of twelve, that remain in the country and is recognized as a National Treasure. From the highest floor of the tower one can see the Northern Japanese Alps on the west side, and Utsukushigahara and other mountains, on the east.
