Classifying expressway tolls by car model

Classification by car model is as follows. General passenger cars fall under the categorization of standard vehicle.

Mid-size car Mid-size car Freight automobiles (a vehicle of 3 axles and below with a gross vehicle weight of under 8 tons and maximum loading capacity of under 5 tons or a 2 axle tractor semi-trailer not towing a vehicle).

Microbus
(with a riding capacity of 11 to 29 and a gross vehicle weight of under 8 tons)

Trailer
(a light vehicle towing a vehicle of 2 or more axles or a standard vehicle pulling a single axle vehicle)
Oversized vehicle Oversized vehicle Freight automobiles (vehicles with 3 axles or less with a gross vehicle weight of 8 tons or more and maximum loading capacity of 5 tons or more. However, vehicles that have a furthest wheel base of under 5.5 meters and car length is under 9 meters must be under 20 tons; vehicles with a furthest wheel base of over 5.5 meters but under 7 meters and car length of 9 or more meter and a vehicle with a furthest wheel base of 7 meters and over and a car length of 9 to 11 meters must be under 22t) or 4 axle vehicles.

Bus

Trailer (combination of a mid-size vehicle towing a vehicle of 2 or more axles, oversize car towing a vehicle and the total number of axles is 4 or more and an oversize vehicle towing a vehicle. Large-sized special motor vehicle

Bus (a vehicle with a riding capacity of 30 or more people and a gross vehicle capacity of 8 tons or more and car length of 9 meters or more (excluding buses with regular routes)

Type of vehicle is determined at toll booths by the information given above (by shape, specifications, passengers, and type of freight, etc.). There are vehicles whose classification is difficult to determine (like class 8 vehicles) so in some cases we ask to see vehicle identification.
